What will happen after I reset/update my password?
After you reset/update your password through https://apps.tcsedsystem.edu/Password_Reset, you will then be automatically prompted to sign in to your account with your new password the next time that you go to access a school/work technology resource that you need to be signed in to view (e.g. Canvas, Office 365).

What about applications installed on my personal mobile device?
If you use a school/work app on your personal mobile device, the app will prompt you to sign in to your account with your new password the next time you open the app. This means that apps like the Canvas mobile app, the Outlook app, or other Office 365 apps on your personal mobile device will require you to enter your new password in order for you to access your accounts through the app, including the ability to receive push notifications through the app if applicable.
What about on-site WiFi?
For on-site WiFi, you will need to sign in with your new password the next time you try to connect. If you are already connected to the on-site WiFi at the time you reset/update your password or you have your device set to automatically connect to the network the next time you are on-site, then you will be automatically prompted to sign in with your new password to connect.
If you are not automatically prompted, you may need to go to your device's WiFi settings, forget the network, and then re-connect to the on-site WiFi using your new password to sign in.

What if I am an employee working off-site/remote with a provided laptop?
For employees that are provided a laptop to work remotely/from home, you must be connected to VPN in order for the new password you set to sync with your Windows computer.
You should first connect to VPN after a password change to make sure it is synced to your computer. If you do not connect to VPN after a password change, your computer will continue to want you to log in with your old password which is already saved on the system. This will become bothersome as you will then need to remember two passwords: the old one to log in to your computer, and the new one for everything else. You may get a notification to log out and log back in to your computer; however, if you don't connect to VPN and get the new password synced, this notification will not go away.
