Computer Requirements Overview
We recommend that all students have a laptop computer. There are no requirements in terms of model, manufacturer, or technical specifications. Please note that we will provide tech support service only to currently enrolled students whose laptops meet the minimum specifications listed below.
In most cases, newly or recently purchased laptops will meet or exceed the minimum specifications. We recommend that your laptop meet the minimum specifications so that the technology you need for your courses and studies will work with your laptop. Using a laptop that meets the recommended specifications will allow for optimal performance.
|Intel 5th Gen Core i5 or better (or the AMD equivalent)
|Intel 8th Gen Core i7 or better (or the AMD equivalent), Apple M1
|Microsoft Windows 10
Mac OS 10.15 or later
|500 GB or more SSD
|8 GB or more
|Minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 with 32-bit color setting
|Desktops: 17” or larger color monitor
Laptops: 13” screen or larger
|Digital video output, such as an HDMI or Thunderbolt/Mini DisplayPort
***Please note that you must have the appropriate connector dongle to connect to HDMI if your laptop does not have an HDMI port for use in classrooms.
|You must have a functional webcam, either in your laptop or if your laptop does not have a webcam, an external one.
We recommend you have a camera with at least 480p resolution.
|Most recent versions of Chrome, Firefox and/or Safari.
Do not use beta versions of software as you may encounter unintended issues.

Unsupported Operating Systems
While we strive to offer flexible systems that work with all operating systems, we do not currently support Chromebooks or Linux-based operating systems. If you choose to purchase these devices, our team will be unable to provide support.
