R-Studio Desktop is a set of tools built to enhance productivity with R and Python (languages used for statistical computation and graphics).  R-Studio Desktop requires R to be installed as well.

How do I install R?

1. The download link for R and R-Studio Desktop can be found here: https://posit.co/download/rstudio-desktop/
2. Click on Download and Install R
3. Click Download R for Windows
   
4. Click ...install R for the first time.
   
   
5. Click Download R-4.2.3 for Windows
   
   
6. Run the install
   
   
7. Click Yes to allowing the app to make changes.
8. Select the default language.
9. Click Next to accept the license agreement.
10. Select the default install path.  Click Next.
11. All three components should be checked.  Click Next.
    
12. Select No for customized startup.  Click Next.
    
13. Leave R as the default Start Menu folder.  Click Next.
    
14. Leave Additional Tasks as default.  Click Next.
    
15. The program will begin to install.  Once completed, click Finish.
    
16. R should now be available in the Windows Programs list
    

How do I install R-Studio?

2. Click Download RStudio Desktop for Windows
   
   
3. Run the install
   
   
   
4. Click Yes to allowing the app to make changes.
5. Click Next to continue.
6. Leave install path as default.  Click Next.
   
7. Leave Start Menu folder as default.  Click Install.
8. The program will begin to install.  Once completed, click Finish.
9. RStudio should now be available in the Windows Programs list.
   
10. When opening RStudio for the first time, a prompt will appear about which version of R to use. Leave settings as default, click OK.
